The White House is proud to announce the launching of its new and revamped website. The Bush Administration has worked to make the site accessible to people with disabilities, and the site has been user-tested by web experts with disabilities to improve accessible features.
Department of
Justice ADA Mediation Program
In 1994, the Department of Justice established the ADA Mediation
Program. Initially funded through the ADA Technical Assistance Program, the
Mediation Program now operates under a contract with the Key Bridge Foundation.
Link: Department of Justice ADA Mediation Program -- Many ADA disputes can be resolved successfully through informal methods. In enacting the ADA, Congress specifically encouraged the use of alternative means of dispute resolution, including mediation, to resolve ADA disputes.
The Department of Justice offers technical assistance on the ADA Standards for Accessible Design and other ADA provisions applying to businesses, non-profit service agencies, and state and local government programs; also provides information on how to file ADA complaints.
